In this painting I was drawn to the contrast of dark and light, as well as the vivid and vibrant colors. It was my ambition to let the veiwer get the sence of the young womens striking beauty even though only a small hint of her face is showing. This painting has a strong photo realistic look perticularly when veiwed from a distance, yet shows the beauty and grace of the brush strokes
