Eternity's Sunrise

William Blake wrote: "He who binds himself to a joy doth the winged life destroy. But he who kisses the bird as it flies lives in Eternity's Sunrise." An admonition to enjoy the moment, I think, so I did a sunrise and bird design. Prismacolor 32 x 16. Comments invited.

Hey, Lynette. I wish I knew for sure. I know it's a piece of Canson light cerulean, but I'm not sure of the weight. I'm in the process of trying out different brands and weights to get more striking results and this seemed to work pretty well this time. As for the next piece, I think I'll move to a bit smoother (hot-pressed?) finish. Wish there was a way to display at full size (32" x 16"), it's much more impressive. The technology's not there yet, but maybe not too far off. Thanks for the compliment.
