Artist Reply: Annette, thank you! I think galleries like canvas and dictate its use. then all art hanging on the wall has a "professional" (substitute 'McDonalds') look
to it. I hate fighting the texture of canvass, it prevents anything from happening!
Do you mean the foil we use in the kitchen??? It's really beautiful, I hope you have pasted it on some cardboard?
Artist Reply: Yes, Anneke, the very same kitchen foil! I paint it, photo it and throw it away! I am not liking canvas at all. The texture is competitive and conflicting, hindering movement and blending and it has no life of its own! You have to put at least a dozen coats of paint on canvas before you can work it.
