This is one I did recently which is similar to some of the ocean scenes my students and I worked on in classes. (Come join us if you live in the Atlanta, Forsyth, or Dawson county areas! Go to www.etiquetteschool.net or to www.susankennedy.com to see more!) The sun was sparkling on the waves, and those sparkles on an already light color says "Hot day on the beach" to me! I had gotten lucky and snapped some shots of some gulls and included them in this study of a wave as it hits the jetty. Fellow Edisto lovers will understand why I keep painting this lovely island! All of you who correspond with me, be praying for my son Brian, he's come down with diabetes and is having a tough time adjusting to such a lifestyle change. He's very active in lots of extracurriculars and sports, so it's been a big upheaval in his life. So remember him, it hurts to see him have to accept such a blow.
