If we decide to do the lake instead of the meadow, this is our favorite rock to have lunch on. We are about 200 ft. above the deep blue water. Bearhead Mtn. is the other peak....the hike is much the same in scenic view, but over a mile longer. The second shot is of Summit Lake taken from Bearhead Mt. in July 2003. A fire lookout used to be on the top of this mountain. BTW...I promise to take a picture of huckleberries next time I see them... :-)
