The next morning I was brought to meet their "Sister Queen". She was very beautiful with bright blue eyes. They reminded me of the sparks shimmering on the blue waves when the first rays of sunlight touch the ocean. She looked to me in her early 40's in human age, but mermaids live much longer than humans. I could see tears in her eyes when she said to me, "You look just like my youngest sister. Years ago she left with a human whom we had saved from a ship wreck. We haven't seen her since.
