Diners at La Lutetia

The Lutetia is one of our favourite restaurants. It's always very busy! There are many restaurants all over Paris with this name. It's the name the Romans gave to Paris. The city of Paris was named after the Gaulish tribe of the "Parisii" living there around the last century BC and the first century AD. We've been in Paris for a month now looking after a friend's dog in their apartment while they holiday in San Diego. We're in rue Linois at the back of the Eiffel tower in the 15th arrondissment. In a few weeks we'll be going home to Wales. The French evacuate Paris during July and August and surrender it to the tourists. It's been very hot and busy!!

Wonderful painting with great details. I feel as if I am intruding on the couple's (in the foreground) private conversation.

Salut Rusty! It's so very French. I like the colors and the animation. There is a hint of the Eiffel tower in the background. Felicitations et bon retour au pays des gaules.
