I started taking art classes in high school and branched out to graphic design classes at Van Buren Technology Center. After graduating from high school I attended Western Michigan University and received my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art four short years later. I also attended WMU for two additional years taking graduate art classes and art teaching classes.

For the next twenty years I drew a little here, painted a little there, did a few sculptures, etc. while raising my children and caring for my family. Now my children are grown and/or don't require as much of my time. I have made it a priority to draw every day and develop many of these sketches into drawings and paintings. I work in various mediums including pencil, colored pencil, pen & ink, photography, watercolor, acrylic and oil. I also have been known to do a sculpture or make some jewelry now and then.

I have a Gypsy soul. I am a person in need of change and always in search of adventure. I don't sit still for very long unless my mind is wandering through a fantasy world such as in reading or drawing. I am passionate and open minded. I am volatile. I am determined. I am free spirited.
