Dear Fellow Members and staff

I greet you all.I have not been active in the art world as my dear wife of 48 years of marriage passed away on the 12th of June this year. She had a stroke and many conditions that followed thereafter. She developed Cellitus due to poor blood circulation. She was hospitalized on various occasions. She fought for life and during the last phases of her illness she was given morphine for immense pain every four hours. I met her 48 years ago on the 10th of April,a Saturday,as a blinddate.I saw her again the Sunday, and on Monday, the 12th of April I bought her an engagement ring. The 27th of April(17 days after we met)we married and despite of all the criticisms of family we were extremely happy until death parted us on the 12th of June 2023.Obviously I devoted all my time and support to her during her illness and had no time for art etc.I am back here with ArtWanted and I would be so glad to be taken up in the New Planned Book in her honour as she always supported my art life and love.Thank you my dearest love and darling Ansie..I will always love you and miss you.Fred

I seldom go to this area, Fred, and so only just now saw and read your heartfelt message. I am so sorry for your loss, as cliche as that seems. Now immerse yourself in your passion for art and let your love for her be your inspiration. Heaven knows, art has saved me from many of the pitfalls life has placed in my path. In fact, I think it still does on a daily basis. Hope you are having a good day and doing something artistic. :)

So sorry for the loss of your precious wife. Glad you are back on AW. Art comforts in ways most do not understand. I pray your art will continue to help you heal. God bless and guide you. Joanie

Hi Fredz, I’m so sorry that your wife passed away my goodness that must be trying. You know what art really helps it’s helping me tremendously. I have progressive MS I’m 54. I live in a Carehome now in a wheelchair and diaper. So my art is really really really calming me down -I’ve haven’t been done doing it for years. I used to do acrylic and big pieces and now I’m learning how to work little in my table in my room and stuff so this will really bring you up. Lots of good self healing. I will watch your journey I’m gonna go to know how to do that because I’m new to here too well I. When I was younger and it was a lot easier now it’s a bit complicated happy painting nice to meet you. My name stephiedesousa
