Are birds mammals?

Seems as though the “Small Mammals “ group is full of bird pictures. For those who are confused about this:

Birds are not mammals; birds belong to the class Aves and are more closely related to reptiles than to mammals. Mammals belong to the class Mammalia. Birds are the only living animals to have feathers, whereas mammals are the only animals to have hair.

This is true, but here at art wanted so many things are mixed up and confused... such as what groups to post in... what category a work belongs in etc... I don't know why a mutant melting image of a gothic human belongs in my group of animal abstract or in the group of fine art... and when it is digital why it is listed as oil paint for example. It's all a big mess. I think there might be too many styles and categories and things get confusing for some... including for me .

Mark: as administrator of certain groups, I delete images that don’t fit the criteria. I have one guy that just keeps posting images to a category where they don’t belong, but he just keeps doing it. Agh…..
