Artist Bio

Youqiang Zhang comes from Harbin, a city in the north of China. He's a member of the Chinese Artists Association. He has been fascinated by painting since he was a young boy. After many years of hard work, he received a B.A. in fine art. Many of his works were showed in several important exhibitions. He has won many prestigious awards and has been published in authoritative art magazines. His art reflects his belief that nature is the source of beauty. He wants to communicate the true face of nature to his viewers, and help them remember that we should love and protect our world's natural areas.

Great seas of fire rage, they sear and tear the raw materials of the planet, forging and fashioning the stones that are to become the soil in which life will take root, and the ground upon which creatures will eventually slither and crawl and walk. There is a softer movement in the midst of the fire as the waters of the universe surge in, cooling and tempering the anger and fury of the fire.

The fire forges the metal and stone; it freezes their movement and shape. Valleys, mountains, the pits into which the world’s oceans will eventually flow, all have their genesis deep within the heart of the fire. But it is the water that stills that heart, fixes the canyons, the hills and the undulating valleys, cools and hardens and gives them stability
