A native of New Orleans, Tracey's love of art blossomed while attending the picturesque, New Orleans uptown Academy of the Sacred Heart. She graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts focusing her education in pre-law, receiving two paralegal degrees with top honors. Although much of her inspiration has come from her upbringing in New Orleans, her residences elsewhere, such as San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Florida, and Mississippi have contributed significantly to her artistic style. She studied abstract art in California where she was encouraged to engage in a serious career as a professional artist. Tracey manipulates the elements of color and form, space and texture by using basic design such as movement, harmony, and rhythm. Her work is emotive based-it is also playful, meaningful and thought provoking. She believes her paintings are a poetic version of life: transformation, love and loss. When creating one of her mixed media works she uses layer upon layer of acrylic paint, lush colors, geometric line, and whatever materials she feel will give her vision integrity. Her art is located in Nouvelle Lune Gallery in the New Orleans French Quarter, Lemonaedi Gallery in Brookhaven , Mississippi, Magnolia Blues in Brookhaven, Gulf South Gallery in McComb, the Contemporary Art Center in the Warehouse/Arts District in New Orleans in the NOLA NOW exhibit, ArtsNatchez in Natchez, and many law offices. hotels. hospitals and restaurants. Soon to be in J ALLEN's fine furniture store in Hattiesburg, Her Tabasco art and Flag art can be ordered and purchased rom District 51 in Brookhaven,
