Her name was Beryl Markham, A Remarkable lady a horse breeder adventurer and Writer.Affectionately 'Beru' by the native Murani of Kenya. She Became a Aviator in 1936 carried supplies,mail and passengers,some of whom she Rescued from remote part of Sudan. In Sep.1936 she became the 1st. person to fly East to West Across the Atlantic(Back to N.Y) in a Flight lasting 21hrs and 25 Minutes. Hemingway said she can Write Rings around others, and Her stories Are Absolutely True!

Totally agree with the comments of praise below and I have to say that I like the dynamic positioning of the aviatrice with her flying "vehicle"/machine! Also: I like the metallic texture shining through beneath the yellow paint! Totally fab artwork!
