I started this piece around mid-March and finished it about a month ago, I think, though I 'fiddled' with it up to a week ago. It is made using my paper-based compound, newsprint, plastic and battery-operated LED lights (for the eyes.) The battery-pack resides in the skull cavity. The pictures aren't exactly artsy but I think they give the viewer the idea. I took some in the backyard that's shaded and some in the front with lots of sun. The sculpture stands just over 37 inches tall and is around 13 inches wide from toe tip to toe tip. I finished it lightly with just a bit of brownish-red acrylic varnish. This is what Original Jones Art has fiddled with, mimicking Nero, while the world burned. Yeah, still in northwest Austin, Texas.
