Grief and love are close cousins, I think. Both overwhelm us with emotion. And they are both conditions we learn to live with which, unfortunately, only burrow themselves to a depth wherein we can still function. But, like gremlins, they like to surface to reek havoc when our defenses are down. This is a 6 by 4.6 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond paper. Just the gel pen and nothing but the gel pen, so help me. Or so Original Jones Art tells himself on a cold winter night in northwest Austin, Texas. Well, 'cold' as you know, if relative to your tiny speck of space on planet Earth.
