Though my eyes are decidedly blue, I have never been someone's blue-eyed boy. It is an expression that refers to a person highly regarded by someone and treated with special favor. I don't know how many there are at any given time but I know from experience they are a minority group. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Cool drawing Charles , and I would agree they are a minority group. Don't think I know anyone who even knows of someone who was or is a blue eyed boy.

Artist Reply: I've been thinking and I 'might' have had that distinction for awhile in the 70's. The boss at my first job in Austin was probably the only one who gave me free rein with little or no supervision. He trusted me and I gave him more than his money's worth. But that was the beginning and the end of it. :)
