Well, an anglophile is one who relishes anything British but though I fall somewhat into that category, I am more selective and era restrictive. Like most Americans, I grew up watching some of their shows on TV. Secret Agent Man/Danger Man, The Avengers, and the like were some of my favorites. In later years, the early Doctor Who, Rumpole of the Bailey, Monty Python, Benny Hill and others were watched and appreciated as well. I've noticing a degradation of quality over the past decade plus of all content in both writing, acting and production but that is not limited to across the ocean, but domestic fare as well. Content has become a dime a dozen when new content is needed on a continual basis. And, it seems, the quality requirement has been lowered more than a bar or two. O well.
