Gloom: to look, feel, or act sullen or despondent. I thought it an apt title after surveying the finished product. You may correct me if I am off base. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art asks for honest discourse and gets the silence of the spheres instead. He's still in northwest Austin, Texas, on some backwater planet called Earth.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave! Well, the old man in the chair must do something with his days. No real relief from the heat as yet. No rain either---which compounds the problem. Anyway, hope you are faring well. :)
