Just a quick piece using gel pen and charcoal pencil. It measures 8 by 5.5 inches on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art, filling in the necessary squares in northwest Austin, Texas.

Although you say it was quick it's extraordinary Charles. Sometimes it works that way. The cross is accidental you say but keeping the good mistakes is all part of the process. Have a great weekend.

The checkered backdrop brings out the face even more. The imagination sees many crosses but to note there is a one that is using the same pattern . Cool secretive one Charles : ) Hope you have a nice Memorial Day weekend

Artist Reply: I think the cross is subtle, as well as accidental. So the accident helped me with a title, Dave. Well, it's a hot one coming, but all accounts--the weekend, that is. :)
