Another impromptu side panel from a backing sheet for several of my drawings. For the longest time I just threw these away without really looking at them. Though I must say, it is difficult to focus on the whole without peeking into the pieces and bits. This is a 5.5 by roughly 4.5 inches gel pen drawing on regular bond paper. Is it art or is it gibberish? Or is gibberish all we can muster in the 21st Century? Original Jones Art ruminates over these questions and a couple of others here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Hey Charley, Lines & More Lines, Lots of Creations, Super !

Artist Reply: Thanks, Denny. Yes, it's difficult to find which line one should align with---too many cues and not enough clues. I usually recycle these but thought a few had some merit. Hope you had a great Easter weekend. :)

The clamor here makes me think of big city life where there's so much going on that it all starts to hum " Om ".... I like this a a lot : )

Artist Reply: Yes, stimulus overkill seems to the din of the day, Dave. Well, I was getting feedback saying my drawings---you know, the 'usual' ones---are very tight. I thought these accidental drawings could be considered loose---in a tight sort of way. Ha. Hope your Easter has been a good one. :)

It has a free association vibe going on. One wonders if Shreveport and no.7 are significant to you. Best Wishes Charles.

Artist Reply: Well, Shreveport is a city in Louisiana and a street in Austin, Texas. I know number two better than number one, John. This kind of 'mark-making' develops over weeks and I seldom study what came before when I add more. Actually, on a whim I added 'no' into that shape---which happens to resemble a seven. Thanks, John, for really looking into the jumble. Hope your Easter is going well. :)
