Things are smooth, then slightly creased, now cratered. Oil of whatever can't stop the process, nor should it. It's called the natural sequence of events from the ameba on up. Get over it. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. After rediscovering the work using felt-tips, I decided to pull out a small set I had lying about. They are really brush-tipped but work the same. The brand name is Soucolor and they are called art markers, so I used them, gel pen and color pencil. Original Jones Art doing some work on a rainy day here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave. Yeah, the life cycle should be a learning experience for all of us. Nothing is easy, nothing is free. You work for what you get, and you work even if you don't get what you want. Reminds me of an old Stones song. Ha! Yes, another week is winding down. :)
