Basically there are two kinds of chipmunks...big ones and little ones. This is a little one. Both hang out at destinations and rest places. Just make sure there isn't one in your pack before leaving. What's even more fun is to watch them along the trails. Once we saw a small chipmunk wrestle with a pine cone twice his size and 3x his weight. They are smart little guys... :)
