Artist Reply: Thanks everyone for such wonderful comments. I really loved drawing this bird. It gave me the opportunity to study the buzzard up close and draw out the contrasting tones. Normally I just see them circling up high above where I live. It's funny how 'spending time' with the subject you're drawing gives you renewed respect for it.
