This is the flip side of a papier mache piece I did a year or so ago, when I thought ART could bring back to me something I now see, in hindsight, I never truly had. This is a gel pen drawing colored with gel pencil. Image area is roughly 4 by 2 1/2 inches. Original Jones Art from Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Yes, Eric, there's something about using the gel ink in conjunction with the gel color pencil that lends itself to an interesting texture. I think of this image as being quite minimal, but totally CJ. :)

Artist Reply: My work does not rely on an abundance of technique, as much as that seems to impress the populace, nor do I calculate my imagery to impress an audience, living, dead or unborn. Things usually work best for me when I run on automatic. Thanks for the comment, Cathy! :)
