Midnight Dreamer Studio *My pencil (on bristol board) rendition of Marco Hietala, bass guitar/vocals for Nightwish, my most loved band ever.... now I have a huge respect for all you portrait artists, this was my third attempt at drawing him and lets just say it was super difficult for me to even get this close haha : ) Let me know what you think! ~Watch him in action~

I like your style, I agree you should get some oils and canvas, any acid free canvas will work, I stretch my own from used painter drop cloths so I can have realy large pieces, I stretch them after I finish them, so I can roll them up when I am not working on them, acrylics are good too, oil is a whole new world though, hope you try it.nicolee payne 21 Sep 2008

Oh, Leah, this is such a strong piece. I feel your passion from all this work even in his beard. I have never heard this music band before. I have watched the video and the sounds are very interesting. It's a great arrangement of the song too. I think their performance is attractive.
