Trophy Room Mural-Charging Bull Elephant

This mural was done in a gentle man's trophy room. It is an 8 X 10 sized wall done in acrylic. I had a ball doing this one!

Another magnificent Piece of art I was never in your class.

Artist Reply: Hey, thanks again. It comes with a lot of practice, believe me. I paint like 5 hours a day ( or more ) , 5 days a week, so....you know, practice makes perfect. You will get there too someday, you are already off to a great start. You do great work now, it is just different than mine. That is what makes art so cool!

I am quite impressed, Suzanne. This mural is absolutely stunning. I'm sure that your client gloats with pride when showing off this mural to others.

Artist Reply: thank you Jerrie. I had a lot of fun with this mural. Animals are really my thing and what I enjoy painting the most. I am working on a piece for the same client now. It is a painting of Cape Buffalo. I am having just as much fun painting this for him as I did painting the elephant. Thanks again for you nice comments and all your encouragement.

So WoW Suzanne!! Never use acrylic so far, and after see your work here...hmm maybe I should try this medium:) Very nice!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Dadang, you really should try acrylic, I think you would like it. I did check out your portfolio and since you do mostly portraits (very good ones I might add), I would recomend oils instead of acrylics because it is much easier to blend your colors. Either way, good luck with your choice.
Artist Reply: Thanks Dadang, you really should try acrylic, I bet you would like it. I prefer oils for portrait work (I noticed that is what type of work you like to do) because it is much easier to blend colors. Have fun with it!

This is fantastic. Would love to get the details like: Surface prep, type of acrylic paint used, technique for blends , whether a retarding solution was used with arylics or just water for blends, time it took to complete from start to finish, etc.
