Davidson's Penstemon

This beautiful shrub is found on rocky cliffs from around 3500 ft. to the bare windblown tops of mountains at 7000 ft. It grows where few other flowers would dare to be. (The other flower sharing the cliff 2 photos back is Paintbrush...another brave soul.) This is definitely a sign that summer is around the corner. Wish I had packed the macro!! Thanks so much for joining us on this amazing hike!!! Hope my knees feel better soon....the downhill was a killer. Mentally, I'm ready to go again!!! Are you???
