My son is an avid fan of "The Underdog," It all started with his interest in boxing, then, his interest in this young Champion Middlewieght boxer of the early 20th century. When my son discovered, this young man had been murdered, here in Missouri, he became more interested. Stanley was the same age as my son is now, at 23. We could find little information. In his quest for more information, it took us to Grand Rapids, Michigan, Marshfield, and Conway, MO. He wrote a book about Stanley Ketchel 3 years ago. Finally after 10 years of research, and a manuscript, the book is about to be published. Now, old stuff about people that the present day afficionados aren't too, interested in, there aren't readily accessible information on copyrights, so dear old mother is drawing some of the pictures, we could not find out about. Here is one.
