Jesus & his disciples were traveling north (from Judea to Galilee) & came into Samaria. While the disciples went to buy food, a tired Jesus sat by a well & had an interesting discussion with a local woman there that led to more local Samaritans coming by. It was 2 days later that Jesus & the disciples would continue their original journey towards Galilee.
