A stylized portrait of a black woman, her face turned up to the bright sunlight and with hot, bright colors to bring out her glowing, burnished beauty. Her big round earring has been fashioned with ½” strips of leather that I wove and then cut into a round shape. Her face and hair are done in pastels & ink, and the background of the piece is paper collage. The original drawing is framed in a coordinating dark burgundy frame that continues some of the background collage work in several places.
