I consider this one of my truly "fun" paintings to create. I like to think of it as being on the outside looking inside looking outside. As I neared completion I realized that the painting was missing something to help tie it together. Fortunately, there happened to be a full moon during that time so I walked outside to see how the moon played on the side of my house and windows. When I returned to the painting I added the pale moonlit effect on the window framework and it tied the whole painting together beautifully.
