This painting was done a couple of years ago when I was experimenting with acrylic. (I've since moved on to an alkyd-modified oil paint which Winsor and Newton makes). I did it in conjunction with a couple of other scenes taken from a hike we did in the woods alongside Slippery Rock Creek in Pennsylvania...I think it's the creek which flows down to McConnell's Mill. It's one of my all-time favorite spots, not only for the sheer beauty of the woods and water, but for the lonely, luminous beauty of the interior of the mill itself (which has also inspired some of my paintings). As always, the copyright on this painting resides with me; please do not copy or distribute this image in any way! Thanks for your support of the fine arts! Don't you go buying art at Target! ; ) SK
