I keep coming accross your work!, Not by name but by the images, There is something suggested by this dissapearing backkdrop. Its like I've been there, but where is it I dont know. Makes me keep thinking where?

Artist Reply: Thanks, Benjamin. Part of the challenge in painting (I think) is to create images that give the viewer a sense of deja vu--or of approaching what Carl Jung called the "collective unconscious". In that way, they seem to relate to a larger, more universal theme. This is no exception... although in this case I wonder if the colors are a bit "too loud/unnatural" or maybe it's just an image that's "too romantic," I don't know...
